Constanza González-Véliz is a Forest Engineer with a Master’s degree in Feminist Studies and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Technology Management. As the Director of Situada, she leads the organization and defines its research and action lines, exploring technology from a Latin American and feminist perspective. She coordinates projects focused on technological justice and digital autonomy, including Sesgos de Género en la Innovación Tecnológica, which examines how gender biases in technology design intensify digital violence, and she co-coordinates VERITAS ALAC, which analyzes the risks of emerging technologies such as deepfakes. She also led the Comunes Digitalesproject, which addressed the impact of feminist digital commons in the fight for gender equality. Additionally, she collaborates as a researcher on the IMRESCOM project at the University of Málaga and supports the Observatory of Feminist Movements in content updating and monitoring. She participated in Chile’s Constitutional Convention, advising on the drafting of Digital Rights regulations. Her work combines research and the development of inclusive policies, addressing the challenges of technology in the Latin American context.
